Living in the United States of America right now feels like being strapped into a rollercoaster at a parking lot carnival while watching the carny operator walk away to have a smoke.
As I write this on Saturday morning, Elon Musk is apparently retracting all the things he tweeted about Donald Trump, but the damage has been done because screenshots are forever, and none of us will let them forget. Also, no one holds a grudge like Donny Thin Skin once someone tells a big truth about him, so as of Saturday morning, they haven’t kissed and made up.
As I wrote for the Political Voices Network, I’m still hoping Elon might suspend Trump’s account out of spite, but let’s move on.
Today is the 9th anniversary of Hillary Clinton officially becoming the first woman to be the Democratic nominee for President.

We were so robbed of having Hillary as our rightful 45th President, just as we were robbed of having Kamala Harris as our rightful 47th President. And Elon provided us with receipts.
I’m taking that literally. MAGA is saying “Elon just helped the campaign” because they’re in a cult. We all know there’s no way Trump won all seven swing states, and he definitely didn’t win all seven of them on Election Night. Democrats are all over this, as they are about the Epstein Files reveal as well. Which triggers MAGA more, do you think?
MAGA is scrambling over Elon’s dual reveals, but the Epstein one wasn’t much of a reveal for me or anyone else who’s actually been paying attention to the Trump-Epstein saga.
It’s been almost a year since I recorded this NSFW excerpt from the cache of Epstein’s victims’ testimony that was declassified by a judge as ordered by Ron “Jackboots McFlorida” DeSantis out of pure spite once he dropped out of the 2024 race to knock Trump off the ticket. MAGA doersn’t read, just like Trump doesn’t read his daily briefings, yaaaay.
It’s finally getting traction on Twitter after posting it for the kabillionth time, thanks to a boost from Rick Wilson. The MAGA trolls are really upset because they can’t believe it’s real. Yes, they understand Epstein was a pedo, but Trump?
But when I ask them who they think is being protected behind Pam Bondi’s blacked-out redactions, they go silent. Bondi wouldn’t be covering for Bill Clinton or Prince Andrew or Bill Gates, and they know it.

Watching them lose their collective IQ point over this week’s Broligarchy Breakup is just the mood boost we all needed. We can still pay attention to the bad shit they’re doing while watching Elon throw Trump under the repainted Lolita Express. We’re still going to be in the streets a week from today for the No Kings Day protests.
But this weekend, give yourself some time to decompress and de-stress. Tonight, I’ll be joining my beloved Low Bar Chorale for a pop-up at Gigantic Brewing in SE Portland. It’s our second time singing in their Barrel Room, and my request for “Gigantic” by The Pixies has been fulfilled. The rest of the playlist is awesome as well, including “Blank Space” to make this Swiftie Over 50 extra happy to not be home doomscrolling while also never finding anything I want to watch.
Or maybe take this time to get into The Sound of Settling and help me get more visibility in my seemingly endless pursuit to land the elusive book deal of my dreams. It’s a perfect beach/park read and has nothing to do with politics, yay!
