I just got off a quick Signal call with my friend Malcolm Nance (no, we didn’t accidentally add anyone else because we’re not drunken traitors), and he wanted me to spread the word about a new tactic he’s implementing in Los Angeles.
While Trump is trying to scare his cult into believing all of LA is on fire, it just isn’t. He did the same thing to us in Portland in 2020, and it didn’t really go well.
So Malcolm’s idea of embarrassing Trump with the optics of drag queens and others draped in rainbow colors dancing up on the National Guard delights me. Emphasizing the gayness of “YMCA”—Trump’s favorite campaign song, always accompanied by his signature double-handed Jerkoff Dance—would only make it all more delightful. If you’re in LA, please do your part to peacefully protest Pride-fully!
Governor Gavin Newsom is also doing his part to embarrass Trump and his manufactured breakup distraction with Elon Musk.
When it comes to the Trump/Musk thing, don’t fall for any of it. The damage is done between the Epstein tweet and the election tweet. We need to keep those at the top of the news cycle, even as we keep an eye on LA, so please do your part to keep sharing stories about both while supporting independent media, LIKE YOURS TRULY. Today would be a great day to consider upgrading to a paid subscription, even the basic one, so you can comment and have a conversation with me.
Speaking of conversations, Malcolm will be our very special guest on THE TARA SHOW on Thursday to talk about the No Kings Day marches coming up on Saturday (don’t worry, I’ll remind you). But I hope you’ll also tune in today at 2 pm ET/11 am PT or watch the replay, because this is one hell of a week to be a Democrat getting ready to protest.
