You go girl! This is all so heartwarming and interesting. By chance, are you working on an audio version of your book? I think a lot of readers with dyslexia rely on audio books, so that's my big goal for my new novel. Congrats, you're an inspiration!
I would love to do that, but I'm too broke to afford the studio time and the producer. Just another reason why I need a proper publishing deal and an agent SIGH
It's not even being broke, we indies pinch every penny. I've been exploring low cost options. If you do your own reading for example, and now a days home studio is easy. I'll keep you posted on what I find out!
It's still way too noisy here. I don't want to half-ass this, I'd want a real studio with a real producer. It would take me forever to do it by myself.

I live in a 1-bedroom apartment on a noisy corner in Portland! No space for a home studio, no way to soundproof. SIGH AGAIN
