Great story. There are still people that see the best in us, even when we don't. I believe this was just an example of Dave being that mirror you needed to see your true self. #WriteOn!

I’m late to the party but needed to comment.

This was a beautiful story of a long friendship. That people took this as some sort of sexualized cheating on your spouses says more about them than it does you.

It is possible to have male/female friends without it being sexual or cheating.

Having been military with a wandering soul I often don’t see my older friends for 5,10, even 15 years. That doesn’t mean they aren’t still my friends, even my best friends. When we do get together we fall back into our old selves. We share stories about our lives, our children. Whether these are female or male friends a secure partner recognizes the difference. An insecure partner is generally the one doing the cheating.

Obviously you did have a supportive spouse who encouraged the friendship and documented with photos.

Beautiful story. F the haters

"Eventually, I stopped asking why me. What matters is that it was me."

That's what's important.

A beautiful story of infidelity and frustrated adultery. I'll bet your ex-husband felt grand knowing Grohl was the only man in your life you cared about. At least you let him take pictures.

You went through life with no feeling for others and now call on others to feel for you. I don't think that will actually work out well in the long run. Seeing you commiserate with Dave Grohl over your newborn child and knowing your actual husband meant nothing to you perfectly captures the modern strong independent leftist woman. You sound like an alpha widow, which is a fancy way to describe a 304. I am sure God knows your heart was in the right place.

This is sad. You need to do a little self reflection.

You needed to grow up WELL before you actually did, if you did at all.

Unfortunately,...now is too late.
