OMG that AI review of your book is awful! The first thing I noticed is that it says "human condition" once and "human experience" twice. Reminds me of the android Data on Star Trek, always going on about what it is to be a human because he wishes he were one.
And then the meaningless adjective pairs:
—as poignant as it is entertaining.
—messy, often chaotic [one or the other, please]
—both candid and compassionate
—refreshing and relatable
—engaging and fearless
And spare us the line about "a testament to her skill in navigating the complexities of relationships, identity, and societal expectations." That tells us less than nothing, and leaves a bad taste in my brain.
Where's the rock band? the hot sex? the sly feminism? the *characters* fer chrissake? Almost makes me wonder what ChatGPT would say if you asked it to write a negative review.
At any rate, it does inspire me to cut down my longish customer review that was well under Amazon's character limit but for some mysterious reason never got posted, and try again to put it on your page. Soon, I promise. Wishing you the best, Tara.
