It’s Super Tuesday and the same Republicans who blamed Taylor Swift for a sportsball team winning a sportsball game really don’t want her endorsing Joe Biden
Earlier this morning, Taylor posted a handwritten missive simply encouraging her gazillions of Swifties who are of voting age to vote today, including in her home state of Tennessee. Soon after, Meta platforms Facebook and Instagram went down for a bit, and YouTube was also briefly unavailable.
I can’t lie, it was a weird coincidence that mere seconds after I shared Taylor’s post to my Facebook Story (and if you think I understand the difference between a Story, a Reel, and a Post when it comes to engagement, I can assure you that I do not), I was automatically logged out of Facebook and couldn’t log in for a little while.
The horror…the horror…
The conspiracies are flying fast and loose over on Elon’s Twitter, where horrible right-wing accounts are making major bank while good people like yours truly are being suppressed and therefore not enjoying the so-called “benefits” of the blue checkmark.
What a successful billionaire businessman, said no one but Elon. I didn’t get paid out once in February, while an account calling itself “End Wokeness” can make thousands from shitposts.
I promise I didn’t spend it all in one place, folks. 🙄
Anytime a social media site goes down, I think about how people can’t even get out of a concert with any sense of spatial awareness, so if we ever reach a true Leave the World Behind moment, we’re all just fucked.
Except the preppers. We never should’ve doubted you. I’ve added “Sweet Ass Bunker” to the list of things I want in my dream house once I finally land that book and film deal we’re all manifesting together here.
SPEAKING OF WHICH, I finally have a paperback version of The Sound of Settling that is fully approved by the persnickety persnicketers at IngramSpark. Big thanks to my friend Thad, who made the mistake of offering to clean up the Kindle format for free and then embarked on a month-long frustration fest with me to get it all street-legal. Now to get into bookstores and libraries, HUZZAH!
But also, now to get it into the hands of an actually human literary agent and a producer. Because that whole having to pay for my life thing is still a thing.

Did Taylor break Instagram or what?
I exchanged some FB messages with a HS friend early today. When I went back I ran into all sorts of dumb error messages. I figured that Zuck had decided to make life difficult for me (and cow knows who else). Later on I learned it was widespread and shortly after, it came back. I hadn't realized that there are some people where that is my only contact with them. So I need to do better.
